Green Smoothie

Yields2 Servings
2 cups kale or spinach (or half/half)
 1 lime (removed of rind)
1 cup fruit either mango, pineapple, papaya or cantaloupe (or all mixed together)
 2 bananas
 2 cups water
1

Start off by blending greens and water alone as this is easier on your blender. Then add the rest of the ingredients and blend for a second time. Done. It really is as easy as that!

Tips
2

Use frozen fruits to make your smoothie cold and quenching.

Variation
3

Alternatively, you may choose to add berries, ginger, kiwi, parsley, celery, apples, pears and/or water melon. You can even add cilantro, passion fruit, dragon fruit, guava or lynchee.

Achieving the perfect smoothie
4

As long as you follow the basic principle of including at least one source of soluble fiber, such as bananas or mangos, to achieve the proper "stickiness" of your smoothie, there really are no rules. Your can add and subtract and experiment with different fruit and veg completely at your own discretion.

Good luck - and enjoy!
