Journey Through Smoky Haze – Part 1
Summer is the best time for a long vacation as most offices have less busy schedules. So this summer season we took two weeks off work and went for a road trip along the Canadian Rockies. One reasons why we chose this trip is that Denmark doesn’t have any mountains. So we’re especially easy to impress.
Our Canadian Rockies trip took place during 13 to 25 August 2018. Below is our itinerary which you are more than welcome to reuse.
13 Aug.: Fly from Copenhagen, Denmark to Seattle, USA.
13 Aug.: Arrive at Seattle, USA and stay two nights at Hyatt House Seattle Downtown.
15 Aug.: Drive from Seattle, USA to Kamloops, Canada and stay overnight at The Thompson Hotel & Conference Centre.
16 Aug.: Drive to Bannf, Canada and stay three nights at Inns of Banff.
19 Aug.: Drive to Jasper, Canada and stay one overnight at Marmot Lodge.
20 Aug.: Drive to Sun Peaks, Canada and stay overnight at Sun Peaks Grand Hotel & Conference Centre.
21 Aug.: Drive to Vancouver, Canada and stay two nights at Hyatt Regency Vancouver.
23 Aug.: Drive to Seattle, USA and stay two nights at Quality Inn & Suites Seattle Center.
25 Aug.: Fly from Seattle, USA to Copenhagen, Denmark.
Despite smoky haze from wildfires in California and British Columbia, we really enjoyed our Canada Rockies–they have the most gorgeous scenery in North America.
