After a bumpy landing, we jumped on a bus and headed to our hotel. A ticket costs EUR 6.00 and lasts for 3 hours. More than enough time to make it to our stop—even if the bus didn’t exactly follow the route suggested by Google Maps. Missing the mark by a few blocks, we had a five-minute walk back before arriving at the hotel. Just in time before lightning and thunder struck.

Australia is populated by people from diverse ethnic backgrounds and cultures, which results in diversity cuisine. During our two weeks trip, we ranked our favourite restaurants based on the number of our revisit intention. Our top 3 restaurants are Chat Thai, Walpa Lobby Bar, and Miss Lilian Tea House.
All good things come to an end, so does our first trip in Australia. We had only two days left to enjoy Newcastle and to drive back to Sydney. We coped quite well with heatwave until we spent two hours walking along Newcastle’s foreshore footpath after lunch–it was a bad decision.
