Australia, Here I am! : Day Trip at Three Sisters and Blue Mountains
The most popular day-trip or weekend escape destination nearby Sydney is Blue Mountains–it’s recommended by our travel agency and many locals. We drove from Sydney around noon and arrived there at the perfect time for taking pictures.

We spent almost a week in Sydney before we continued to explore the last bit of Australia. We rented a car from Sydney and drove towards Blue Mountains. We highly recommend you to take scenic route from Sydney to Blue Mountains. However driving in Australia is different than in Denmark. When we first got in the car, we needed to adjust our mentality of driving in the opposite site of the road. We had to remember that the indicator (turn-signal) stalk is on the right side of the steering wheel and the windscreen wiper stalk on the left side of the steering wheel.
After a few hours of driving, we arrived at Waldorf Leura Gardens Resort, a colonial-style boutique resort. We checked in and headed off to explore many lookouts in Blue Mountains National Park. We visited Three Sisters, the most iconic lookout in Blue Mountains National Park. We also spent time enjoying sunset at the lookout. It was like a dream!
