In the year of pandemic, it is almost impossible to travel anywhere in the world. Most of the countries have implemented lockdown and enforced strict regulations in order to stop the spreading of COVID-19. However, in Copenhagen, it’s still allowed to go out to a restaurant. I took this opportunity to explore and experience a traditional Japanese Edomae Sushi restaurant, named Sushi Anaba.

In Nørrebro, Copenhagen’s most culturally diverse neighbourhood, a food market is organized every first Sunday of the month on the sidewalk at Kogebogeriet (cook)bookstore & café. A handful of small and passionate food producers with a reputation of being the eminent choice of discerning customers attract shoppers who make a point of shopping locally and in-season.

Lykavittos Hill is the highest point in Athens and as such a prime location from which to view the city. If you’re not up for a strenuous uphill walk there is a tram service running from the bottom to the top. Perched inside the hill, we couldn’t find it, though, so we ended up walking all the way which was quite a good workout.

One aspect of traveling is to try out new food and local treats. Having impressed us thoroughly, however, on the first day, we decided to ditch that mantra and for the second consecutive day dropped in at Cookie Land which I wouldn’t hesitate to say is an absolute “sweet spot”.
